Introduction to Knitting

In this class you will learn to Cast On, Knit, Purl, and Bind off. We will also learn knitting terms, basic yarn types, and how to read a yarn label.

Instructor: Marlene Graves

Two - 1.5 hour sessions: One week apart.

Supplies: 1 skein of a light colored worsted weight yarn. 1 pair of size 7 or 8 needles (straight wooden needles preferred). How To Knit Book by TNNA (recommended but optional).

Skills required: None! This class is designed for the first time knitter or for those who need to be refreshed after years of not knitting.

Class Size: 5 students maximum, 2 students minimum. If the 2 student minimum is not met, Needles in the Haymarket can either refund the class or move the student to a class scheduled at a later date.

This class is "mask optional".
